Your new red wig is waiting for you among the STASSI range!

There’s almost as many red wigs out there as there are grains of sand on the beach. The selection is huge - as it is at STASSI. Long or short, curly or straight hair in fiery shades: In our diverse range, you’re sure to find the perfect red wig for you. Discover which tone flatters you best - red isn’t just red, there are countless nuances. Then think carefully about which type of wig you would prefer: Should it be real hair, artificial hair or a blend? We can provide you with everything you need to know about purchasing a second hair piece and will help guide you step by step towards your perfect red wig!

First step: Which red for which type?

Which type of red suits you will depend on you skin colour. Before we get into the different types and suitable red varieties, we should be clear that red hair is always striking. If you choose a wig in this colour, you’ll have no difficulty attracting attention - verbal or otherwise - and will often be the centre of attention. It is also worth noting, that a red, eye-catching style requires a more subtle type of styling - with regard to make-up and clothes - than others. Always choose something relatively simple that works in harmony with your hair. Red doesn’t just stand for a temperament. Wearing a wig in this unusual colour will pep up your appearance: Red is mysterious and makes your complexion glow - but only if you choose the right shade! If you have fair skin, do yourself a favour and invest in a red wig. Sandy nuances and light coppery tones are perfect for this skin colour. If you have a fair to medium complexion, you can choose between two types: cool and warm. People with a blue-rosy complexion or olive complexion are winter or summer types and prefer to wear denim blue, sky blue, pink, red and black. As far as wigs are concerned, they prefer cool, bluish tones such as burgundy red, cherry red or aubergine. By contrast, spring and autumn types with ivory, yellow or gold skin choose warm red nuances. These include copper, red gold and copper beech, to name a few. As far as clothing is concerned, they primarily suit creamy-white, rusty red, brown, gold, olive green and turquoise. As far as the ideal red wig is concerned, the following rule of thumb applies: The lighter your skin colour, the lighter and brighter the red. People with dark skin should either choose a mahogany wig for a light, red shimmer or a hair piece in deep cherry red, or black red.

Second step: Real hair wigs or artificial hair models?

Both real hair and artificial hair wigs have their advantages and disadvantages. Advantages of red real hair wigs: - Real hair wigs are characterised by their natural look. They give you an absolutely authentic look. - You will hardly notice your red wig made from 100 per cent real hair, it is so loose and light. - The hair piece behaves just like your normal hair - in all weathers. - Most red wigs in the STASSI range are ready to wear, ready to be worn straight away without any preparations. - Your red real hair wig can be styled and cut as you wish. - It also won’t damaged by friction from coats, jumpers or hair clips. - If you look after your red wig properly, you will get a lot of pleasure out of it for a long time. Disadvantages of real hair wigs: Red real hair wigs require a lot of care. Washing with conditioner, spray treatment or similar and blow-drying and styling are the order of the day. - These models are also more expensive than their equivalents made from artificial hair. Advantages for red artificial hair wigs: A red artificial hair wig is extremely affordable. - It requires much less care than a real hair model. You don’t need to do anything after washing the wig as it will spring back into its original style of its own accord. - If you value volume and stability in your wigs, then artificial hair is the right choice for you. In wind or rain - you will always look freshly coiffed. - As red tends to be a relatively rare colour in nature, you can enjoy a much wider range of colours with our artificial hair wigs. The colours are also often stronger and more radiant than those of real hair wigs. Disadvantages of red artificial hair wigs: - Wigs manufactured from artificial hair are not heat-resistant - except for stylable artificial hair. This is the case for Futura fibres from Ellen Wille and the Techno fibres from Gisela Mayer. If using hair which is not heat-resistant, it is important to avoid hot water, straighteners and hair-dryers, otherwise you risk melting your wig. - Artificial hair does not cope well with friction from jumpers or coats. - With the same level of care, a red artificial hair wig will not have as long a shelf-life as a model made from real hair. Alongside real hair and artificial hair wigs, there are also blends which comprise 50 per cent real and 50 per cent artificial hair. These are suitable for people who wish to wear their hair long without a fringe and who do not place great important on either version in particular. The red blend wigs look wonderfully natural.
